Rachel Divà – a shooting star in the Swiss music scene. The up and coming musician from Muotathal Schwyz, started to write her own songs at the very young age of eight. Without being able to read music, Rachel taught herself how to play both guitar and piano. Moreover, she sung in a choir to shape her voice. The first success of her career came in 2008/2009 when she was awarded third place at the BandX Contest with her Band “MaRa”.
Later on in 2014 she presented her debut single “Adore You” – a catchy pop ballad, at the little “Prix Walo” with her Cello player Liz Schneider (also known as White Cello), where she won the highly coveted price in the voice category.
Recently Rachel and her Producer Pascal Brunkow were working on her first official album which was released on the first of july 2016. “Colors of my Life” includes 11 original compositions and one individually interpreted cover of a world hit. Her songs are coming straight from her heart, since they are mostly about personal experiences and impressions. With her lyrics she stirs the emotions of the heart and inspires people to think about the positive aspects of life.
Rachel is combining various musical genres effortlessly. In additon to pop ballads like her first single “Adore You”, she has appealing up tempo songs in her repertoire, which range from Rock, through to Country, Funk, and Soul. Also on stage, Rachel proves to be versatile and performs either solo, as a duo, or with her band.
The whirlwind with the power-voice exudes charm and a positive mood everywhere she goes and manages to captivate the audience within no time.
